The agreement is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the partnership between the organizers of the Ekaterinburg 2023 World University Games and Sverdlovsk Region entrepreneurs. To achieve this goal, "The Games Business Council" will be created based on the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
We are all here united by the understanding of the importance of this project for the region. All of the Ural businesses should not only be proud of the opportunity to host the 2023 FISU World University Games but also benefit from it. Moreover, our enterprises and our entrepreneurs are more than capable of it, - said President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Andrey Besedin.
Apart from the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the first business associations to sign the agreement were: regional association of employers "Sverdlovsk Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs", Sverdlovsk regional branch of the All-Russian Public Organization "Business Russia", and Sverdlovsk regional branch of the All-Russian Non-Governmental Organization of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses "Support of Russia".
On behalf of the Games Directorate, the agreement was signed by General Director Alexander Chernov.
The agreement we have signed today underlines that FISU World University Games are our common endeavor. It is impossible to tackle it without help from the Ural businesses. At the same time, we understand that the region's business communities are well-positioned to satisfy Games organizers' most demanding requests in all aspects, - said Alexander Chernov.
The creation of "The 2023 FISU World University Games Business Council" was initiated by the leadership of the Sverdlovsk Region and Ekaterinburg. Its preliminary discussion took place at the Conference of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry that was held in Ekaterinburg at the end of June 2021.
