Dmitry Chernyshenko has visited Ekaterinburg

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko has visited Ekaterinburg, where he inspected the construction sites of the 2023 FISU World University Games.

Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Evgeny Kuyvashev has briefed him on the progress of the construction work of the Games Village.

Then a meeting to discuss preparations for the University Games, competition schedule, and the Games' legacy was held at the "Ekaterinburg-EXPO" congress centre.

- What we have seen inspires confidence that more than half a million guests, including 11 thousand athletes, will experience the highest level of service and, what is most important, the highest level of safety, - said Dmitry Chernyshenko

Another topic discussed at the meeting was usage of Russian technological solutions at the events of the 2023 World University Games. Specifically, the digital refereeing and timing system developed by the Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation. It has already proven itself at the World Cup and Grand Prix competitions. Possible options for using Russian hardware and software solutions will be presented to FISU in the nearest time.
